Bible Verses About the Only Wise God: 12

"to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen."

— Romans 16:27 (NIV)

People who search bible verses about the only wise God want Scripture on Romans 16:27's doxology — glory to the only wise God through Jesus Christ — not only the wisdom inventory alone and not everlasting God alone. This page is a numbered list of twelve passages with the NIV text and a short note on each. Related lists: Bible verses about wisdom, Bible verses about everlasting God, Bible verses about Jesus, Bible verses about hope, Bible verses about faith, Bible verses about salvation, Bible verses about God's love, Bible verses about worship, and Bible verse of the day. Only wise God here means Rom 16:27's ascription of unique wisdom to God in Christ — distinct from general wisdom and everlasting-God inventories alone.

Word study (lead theme). In Greek, μόνος monos (Strong's G3441; Bible Hub G3441) means alone / only; σοφός sophos (Strong's G4680; Bible Hub G4680) means wise; θεός theos (Strong's G2316; Bible Hub G2316) is God. Romans 16:27 closes the letter: glory forever to the only wise God through Jesus Christ. This list tracks that only-wise-God doxology and related "God of wisdom / only God" lines, not every wisdom proverb alone.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on Romans 16 presses the closing doxology — glory to God only wise, through Jesus Christ (Bible Hub MHC Romans 16; Blue Letter Bible, Matthew Henry on Romans 16). (Wisdom and everlasting God live on those pages; this list centers Rom 16:27's only-wise-God praise.)
