"He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'"
— Mark 16:15 (NIV)
People who search bible verses about evangelism want Scripture for witnessing and announcing the good news — not only a discipleship-cost list or a missions/sending essay alone. This page is a numbered list of fourteen passages with the NIV text and a short note on each. Related lists: Love and evangelism, Bible verses about discipleship, Love and missions, Bible verses about the church, and Bible verses about courage. Evangelism here means telling the gospel with clarity and courage — distinct from the full discipleship list and the essay-style Love and evangelism / Love and missions pages. For the mandate to go and make disciples, see Bible verses about the Great Commission.
Word study (lead theme). In Greek, "gospel / good news" is εὐαγγέλιον euangelion (Strong's G2098; Bible Hub G2098) — good news, the message of salvation. Related verbs (euangelizō) mean to announce that good news. Scripture treats evangelism as witness: speak Christ, trust God for growth, and refuse shame of the gospel.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on Mark's commission (and Matthew 28) presses the charge to preach the gospel widely and to make disciples with teaching and baptism in view (Bible Hub commentaries on Matthew 28:19; Bible Hub MHC Matthew 28; Blue Letter Bible, Matthew Henry on Matthew 28). On Romans 10 he stresses that people call on the Lord when they believe, and believe when they hear — so messengers are sent (Bible Hub commentaries on Romans 10:14; Bible Hub MHC Romans 10; Blue Letter Bible, Matthew Henry on Romans 10).

14 Bible verses about evangelism
Mark 16:15. "He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'" The charge is go and preach — wide as the world. See Love and evangelism.
Acts 1:8. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Witness starts near and stretches far — in the Spirit's power. See Bible verses about the Holy Spirit.
Romans 10:17. "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." Faith follows hearing the word about Christ — the gospel still needs a voice.
Romans 1:16. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." Evangelism refuses shame of the message that saves.
2 Timothy 4:5. "But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry." Evangelist-work is named as ministry duty, not a hobby.
Matthew 9:37-38. "Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'" Pray for workers, then be willing to be one. See Bible verses about prayer.
2 Corinthians 5:20. "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." Ambassadors carry another's message — reconciliation. See Love and reconciliation.
Isaiah 6:8. "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'" Willing availability still answers the send question.
John 20:21. "Again Jesus said, 'Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.'" Sentness is patterned on Jesus' own mission. See Love and missions.
Acts 8:4. "Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went." Ordinary believers carried the word on the road — not only platform speakers.
Psalm 96:3. "Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." Declaration among the nations is worship that speaks out. See Bible verses about praise.
Acts 4:20. "As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." Witness is not a polished program first — it is speech that will not stay silent about Jesus. See Bible verses about truth.
Luke 24:46-47. "He told them, 'This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.'" The message is cross, resurrection, repentance, forgiveness — to all nations. See Bible verses about the cross.
1 Corinthians 9:22. "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some." Flexible approach, fixed aim: save some.
