Word study (lead verse). In Philippians 4:6 and Matthew 6, the key verb is Greek μεριμνάω merimnao (Strong's G3309) — to be anxious, to care in a distracted, dividing way. See also Bible Hub G3309.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on Matthew 6:25-34 warns against "disquieting, distracting, distrustful cares about the things of this life" and presses, "Take no thought for the morrow, for the time to come" (Bible Hub commentaries on Matthew 6:25; fuller MHC on the chapter at Bible Hub MHC Matthew 6 and Blue Letter Bible, Matthew Henry on Matthew 6).

Philippians 4:6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Worry is replaced by prayer-with-thanks; peace guards after the handoff. See Bible verses about prayer and Bible verses about peace.
Matthew 6:25. "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?" Jesus names ordinary worries and re-sizes them under the Father's care.
Matthew 6:34. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Worry about tomorrow steals today's strength.

Hebrews 13:5-6. "…God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.' So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.'" Presence undercuts the fear that feeds worry. See Bible verses about fear.
