Bible Verses About the Glory of the Lord: 12

"Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle."

— Exodus 40:34 (NIV)

People who search bible verses about the glory of the Lord want Scripture on kebod YHWH — the glory that fills, appears in cloud, and is seen — not only the King of glory Ps 24 title alone, the Glory of Israel Name alone, or the Holy One of Israel list alone. This page is a numbered list of twelve passages with the NIV text and a short note on each. Related lists: Bible verses about King of glory, Bible verses about Glory of Israel, Bible verses about the Holy One of Israel, Bible verses about Lord of hosts, Bible verses about living God, Bible verses about hope, Bible verses about faith, Bible verses about worship, Bible verses about salvation, Bible verses about Jesus, Bible verses about Christ, and Bible verse of the day. Glory of the Lord here means kebod YHWH appearing/filling speech — distinct from King-of-glory and Glory-of-Israel title pages.

Word study (lead theme). In Hebrew, כָּבוֹד kabod (Strong's H3519; Bible Hub H3519) — glory, weight, honor; in the phrase "glory of the LORD" (kebod YHWH) the visible weight of God's presence. Exodus 40:34 is classic: the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. This list tracks that filling/cloud speech — not the Ps 24 King-of-glory twelve alone.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on Exodus 40 presses the cloud covering and the glory filling as God's own dwelling sign (Bible Hub MHC Exodus 40; Blue Letter Bible, Matthew Henry on Exodus 40). (King-of-glory and Glory-of-Israel hubs live on those pages; this list centers kebod YHWH.)
