"For 'you were like sheep going astray,' but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."
— 1 Peter 2:25 (NIV)
People who search bible verses about Bishop of Souls want Scripture on Peter's title episkopos tōn psychōn — Overseer / Bishop of your souls in 1 Peter 2:25 (KJV "Bishop") — not only a Chief Shepherd or Good Shepherd flock list alone. This page is a numbered list of twelve passages with the NIV text and a short note on each. Related lists: Bible verses about Chief Shepherd, Bible verses about Good Shepherd, Bible verses about Jesus, Bible verses about hope, Bible verses about faith, Bible verses about salvation, Bible verses about eternal life, Bible verses about God's love, Bible verses about worship, and Bible verse of the day. Bishop of Souls here means Peter's soul-overseer title for the returned sheep — distinct from Chief-Shepherd or Good-Shepherd surveys alone.
Word study (lead theme). In Greek, "overseer" / "bishop" is ἐπίσκοπος episkopos (Strong's G1985; Bible Hub G1985) — an overseer, guardian, bishop. "Souls" is ψυχή psychē (Strong's G5590; Bible Hub G5590) — soul, life, self. 1 Peter 2:25 joins them: you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. This list tracks that soul-overseer title, not every shepherd or overseer office passage alone.
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on 1 Peter 2 presses that believers who were as sheep going astray are now returned to the Shepherd and Bishop of their souls (Bible Hub MHC 1 Peter 2; Blue Letter Bible, Matthew Henry on 1 Peter 2). (Chief Shepherd and Good Shepherd live on those pages; this list centers episkopos tōn psychōn.)

What does 'Bishop of your souls' mean?
1 Peter 2:25 says, "For 'you were like sheep going astray,' but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." The King James Version says "Bishop" in that verse. Many modern versions say "Overseer" or "Guardian." The word comes from the Greek episkopos, one who watches over.
That return follows sheep who had gone astray. Isaiah 53:6 says, "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all." John 10:11 calls Jesus the good shepherd. The Bishop of your souls is that shepherd who watches over the people who return to him.
